8,200 Custom Linear Bearing Configurations in 30 years
PBC Linear can work with you to create an optimized custom linear motion solution that addresses your specific needs. In the last 30 years, PBC Linear has created over 8,200 special bearings, linear guides, actuators, sub-assemblies, and multi-axis solutions. A unique system has been put into place to deal with this high number of custom configurations.
When working with PBC Linear’s Application Engineers or Inside Sales Team you may hear one of two terms used: “Engineered to Order” (ETO) which refers to the process used in developing custom solutions, or “PAC specials” which denotes the prefix for a non-standard part number. Both customer specific and modified standard parts will begin the part number with the prefix “PAC”. The alpha-numeric identifiers following the “PAC” will be associated with specific product lines, components, and modifications that best suit the application, design, and manufacture of the special product.
These specials have been used in a wide range of applications for general industrial applications, for government agencies, in salt water at the bottom of the ocean, in submarines, for aerospace applications, and even in outer space. Parts have been supplied for clean room applications, in operating rooms, high tech robotics, and automated pick and place equipment.
