PBC Linear will be exhibiting at Lab
Automation Expo 2009 at the Palm Springs Conference Center in Palm
Springs, CA from January 24-28. The five day event will bring together
manufactures, doctors, grad students, lab engineers, and other
laboratory geared minds to focus on the future of laboratory automation.

PBC Linear will be showcasing their latest
and greatest products for clean room and medical applications throughout
the event. Introduced in 2008, PBC Linear’s new line of Linear
Actuator Technology (LAT). The new actuators come precision aligned
and magnetically sealed against contamination, making them ideal for
clean room applications. Also newly developed this year, the PBC Linear
MLA mini-actuator has been successfully implemented in medical analyzing
technology. Other featured products include the Uni-Guide linear slide
system—a proven clean room system already being utilized in healthcare
imaging technology—and the time-tested Simplicity linear bearing
technology which allows for linear motion with no added oil or grease.
Speakers at the event include Warren K.
Lewis, Professor and Head of the Chemical Department at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); John Abele Boston
Scientific’s Co-Founder and FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of
Science and Technology) chairmen; Jeffrey Wigand, Ph.D., Real-life
scientist behind Russell Crowe’s character in the academy award
nominated movie, “The Insider.”
