PL Actuators

The PL series offers a choice of screw driven or belt driven actuators with a 55mm x 55mm (2.17 in x 2.17 in) body profile.  Pre-loaded ball bearing cam rollers guided by patent pending Integral-V™ hardened steel raceways are used to create smooth precise guidance.  SIMO® (Simultaneous Integral Milling Operation) machining of each aluminum actuator body provides side and bottom surfaces that are machined flat and perpendicular for accurate installation. A stainless steel seal strip magnetically seals against the actuator body and resists contamination that would otherwise enter the actuator.  Dual and extended carriages are available to increase the load and moment capacities.
  • Anodized aluminum bodies of 55mm x 55mm profile.
  • Screw driven (PLA055) and belt driven (PLB055) versions are available.
  • PLA055 actuators are available with ball screws, coated lead screws, or acme screws.
  • PLB055 actuators provide higher speed capability, quiet operation, and longer stroke length capability using steel reinforced polyurethane belts.
  • Maximum stroke lengths and maximum carriage speeds:
    • PLA055: up to 2710mm (107 in) and up to 2 m/s (79 in/s)
    • PLB055: up to 6000mm (236 in) and up to 10 m/s (394 in/s)
  • Maximum single carriage loads of 2000 N (450 lbs) and maximum moments of 120 Nm (1062 in•lb)

MX Actuators

The MX Series of belt driven linear actuators offers a number of profile sizes with multiple design configurations to meet requirements in high load, stroke and speed applications.  Externally, round hardened rails with carriage cam rollers provide guidance with low friction, noise and vibration.  The actuator body consists of an anodized aluminum housing born from a precision extrusion for side and bottom surfaces that are flat and perpendicular giving accurate installations.
  • Available in nine (9) different models
    • MXB, MXC, MXD, MXE, MXF, MXH, MXK, MXL, MXM
  • Anodized aluminum bodies of 40 mm x 40 mm (1.57 in x 1.57 in) to 90 mm x 70 mm (3.54 in x 2.75 in)
  • Drive types:  Belt, ball and lead screw, pneumatic, belt w/pneumatic and non-driven
  • Stroke lengths up to 17.5 m (57 ft)
  • Maximum single carriage loads up to 5000 N (1124 lbf) and maximum moments up to 1200 Nm ( 885 lb•ft)
  • Speeds up to 5 m/s (196 in./s

MT Actuators

The MT Series of belt driven linear actuators offers a number of profile sizes with multiple design configurations to meet requirements in high load, stroke and speed applications.  Internally, a profile rail with runner blocks provide for guidance with low friction, noise and vibration.  The actuator body consists of an anodized aluminum housing with a stainless steel strip which seals along magnetic strips to shield out contamination from entering the linear actuator.  Precision extrusions for each aluminum actuator body ensure for side and bottom surfaces that are flat and perpendicular giving accurate installations.

  • Available in five (5) models
    • MTB, MTC, MTD, MTE, MTF
  • Anodized aluminum bodies of 42 mm x 42 mm (1.65 in x 1.65 in) to 80 mm x 80 mm (3.15 in x 3.15 in)
  • Steel reinforced timing belt drive
  • Stroke lengths up to 6 m (20 ft)
  • Maximum single carriage loads up to 7800 N (1753 lbf) and maximum moments up to 480 Nm (4248 lb•in)
  • Speeds up to 3 m/s (118 in./s)

ML Actuators

For precise linear travel in a small foot-print, ML series miniature linear actuators are available in three configurations to best suit your application needs. Compact, lightweight and remarkably powerful despite its small footprint of 28 mm x 32 mm (1.1 in x 1.26 in), the ML series mini-actuators are designed for performance and customer satisfaction in single and multi-axis assemblies.
  • Available in three (3) models
    • MLB – with integrated motor
    • MLC – motor mount only
    • MLD – hand driven knob or shaft
  • Anodized aluminum body of 28 mm x 32 mm (1.1 in x 1.26 in)
  • SIMO® (Simultaneous Integral Milling Operation) precision machined body
  • Lead screw driven – provides high accuracy and repeatability
  • Stroke lengths up to 650 mm (25.6 in)
  • Maximum single carriage loads up to 178 N (40 lbf) and maximum moments up to 10 Nm (88 lb•in)* [*with optional external rails]
  • Speeds up to 1.9 m/s (75 in/s)

Linear Slide Systems

Simplicity® Linear Slide Technology handles heavy loads and excels in harsh, contaminated environments.  Choose from modular components, standard high profile slides, and low profile slides.  The basic configuration consists of Simplicity pillow blocks and a support rail assembly.   Linear Slide Technology systems can be built–up to include: parallel rails, top and bottom plates, and screw drives.  Modular components are ideal where the customer desires a custom rail spacing dimension or a single rail.   The low profile systems can be used in applications where height constraints prohibit the use of the standard high profile systems.
  • Rail shaft diameters from 12.7mm (0.5 in) to 50.8 mm (2.0 in)
  • Rail lengths to 2440 mm (96 in)
  • Carriage speeds up to 0.457 m/s (18 in/s)
  • Normal carriage loads up to 83,000 N (18,750 lbf)
  • Three basic designs: high profile, low profile and modular
  • Bearing materials available include FrelonGold®, FrelonJ®, and ball bearing
  • Shaft materials available include alloy steel, anodized aluminum, stainless steel, and chrome plated

Mini-Rail MS-LS Systems

Mini-Rail MS/LS miniature linear guide systems are lead screw driven actuators that offer an economical alternative to conventional miniature profile rail systems.  Mini-Rail MS linear guide systems are motor driven.  Mini-Rail LS linear guide systems are manually driven.  Frelon Gold plane bearings in the carriage contact the hard anodized aluminum rail to form the linear guidance mechanism. No actuator maintenance is required.  The lead screws are 303 stainless steel and have a TFE coating. The polyacetal drive nut is self lubricating and pre-loaded to eliminate backlash.  Frelon Gold bearing material allows the Mini-Rail MS/LS miniature linear guide systems to better withstand shock and vibration than ball bearing systems.
  • Available in two (2) sizes:
    • 15mm (0.591 in) rail width
    • 20mm (0.787 in) rail width.
  • Available with a motor drive (Mini-Rail MS) or a manual drive knob (Mini-Rail LS)
  • Three (3) different screw leads are available for the Mini-Rail MS and Mini-Rail LS actuators
  • Maximum stroke lengths of 578 mm (22.8 in) are available
  • Thrust load capacity  up to 1.12 N (5 lb)
