Linear Shafting - RC60 Steel, Stainless Steel, and Ceramic-Coated Lightweight Aluminum

PBC Linear offers linear shafting in a variety of different options to meet a wide range of customer needs.  Available in hardened steel, 440 stainless steel, ceramic coated aluminum alloy, predrilled and undrilled, inch and metric, PBC Linear is perfectly suited to meet and exceed your linear shafting expectations.  Produced through a process that has been developed and refined to deliver the highest levels of repeatability in dimensional tolerances, the result is linear shafting that supplies greater uniformity of load distribution through the bearing, improved system life, and increased bearing life.  Rolling element bearings have an increased life expectancy due to a greater normalization of load distribution.  Plane bearings have a lower coefficient of friction and decreased binding occurrences due to a more consistent contact interface with the shaft.

• Solid round shafting is available in inch sizes from 1/8” thru 4”, and metric sizes from 3mm thru 80mm
• Pre-drilled shafting for use with support rails is available in all materials and most sizes

The Inch Ceramic Coated Shafting (CC-CCPDL), also known as Feather Shafting, is designed to be used with Simplicity Frelon GOLD lined bearings and pillow blocks.  Ideal for use in contaminated applications, the inch ceramic coated aluminum shafting offers excellent corrosion resistance and is resistant to vibration.

• Solid round shafting (CC) is available in inch sizes from 3/16” thru 2” up to a maximum length of 12 feet
• Pre-drilled (CCPDL) is available in sizes from 1/2” thru 2”, up to a maximum length of 12 feet
• Pre-drilled mounting holes offer an interchangeable alternative to standard pre-drilled shafting

The ISO Metric Ceramic Coated Shafting (CCM-CCMDL), also known as Feather Shafting, is designed to be used with Simplicity Frelon GOLD lined bearings and pillow blocks.  Ideal for use in contaminated applications, the metric ceramic coated aluminum shafting offers excellent corrosion resistance and is resistant to vibration. 

• Solid round shafting (CCM) is available in metric sizes from 3mm thru 80mm, up to a maximum length of 3658mm
• Pre-drilled (CCMDL) is available in sizes from 8mm thru 80mm, up to a maximum length of 3658mm
• Pre-drilled mounting holes offer an interchangeable alternative to standard predrilled shafting

PBC Linear inch steel shafting (NIL/NIPDL) is case hardened to Rc60 and suitable for use with Simplicity Frelon GOLD™ lined bearings and linear ball bearings.   PBC Linear provides the most consistent surface hardness and depth of hardness across a range of sizes, offering increased performance.  In addition, all Rc60 inch steel shafting is ground and polished within a consistent surface finish range resulting in a higher level of predictable performance.

• Solid round shafting is available in inch sizes from 1/8” thru 4”, and lengths to 21 feet
• Predrilled shafting for use with support rails is available ½” thru 2”, and lengths to 21 feet
• Custom end machining available upon request

PBC Linear ISO metric steel shafting (NIM/NIPDM) is case hardened to Rc60 and suitable for use with Simplicity Frelon GOLD™ lined bearings and linear ball bearings. PBC Linear provides the most consistent surface hardness and depth of hardness across a range of sizes, offering increased performance.  In addition, all Rc60 inch steel shafting is ground and polished within a consistent surface finish range resulting in a higher level of predictable performance. 

• Solid round shafting is available in inch sizes from 3 mm thru 80 mm, and lengths to 5300 mm
  
• Predrilled shafting for use with support rails is available 12 mm thru 30 mm, and lengths to 5300 mm

PBC inch stainless steel shafting (NILSS/NIPDLSS) is case hardened to Rc55 and suitable for use with Simplicity Frelon GOLD™ lined bearings and linear ball bearings.   PBC Linear provides the most consistent surface hardness and depth of hardness across a range of sizes, offering increased performance. 

• Solid round shafting is available in inch sizes from 1/8” thru 3”, and lengths to 17 feet
• Pre-drilled shafting for use with support rails is available ½” thru 2”, and lengths to 17 feet
• Custom end machining available upon request

PBC Linear ISO metric stainless steel shafting (NIMSS) is case hardened to approximately Rc55 and suitable for use with Simplicity Frelon GOLD™ lined bearings and linear ball bearings.   PBC Linear provides the most consistent surface hardness and depth of hardness across a range of sizes, offering increased performance. 

• Solid round metric stainless steel shafting is available in inch sizes from 3mm thru 30mm, and lengths to 4.5m
• 440 stainless steel material for corrosion resistance
