With a 150,000 ft² manufacturing facility, PBC Linear is fully equipped to provide its customers with a full assortment of quality linear motion products ranging from linear bearings to full actuating systems, from orders as small to a single piece ranging up to thousands of pieces. Production is maximized through industry standard lean practices such as value stream mapping, designed for manufacturing assembly (DFMA), and 5S. The production floor is a manufacturing engineer’s play ground which wholeheartedly embraces a junk yard wars mentality.

Patent Pending SIMO® Process

Designed by engineers, for engineers.

PBC Linear has revolutionized traditional machining with the patent pending SIMO® (Simultaneous Integral Milling Operation). The typical aluminum extrusion process produces a natural bow, twist and variance. Costly straightening and aligning is traditionally used to combat this variance, resulting in a semi-straight aluminum extrusion that drives the cost up. PBC’s SIMO process uses synchronized cutters, eliminating built-in extrusion variances by machining all critical edges concurrently in one pass. This ensures tight tolerances, limited variance and a remarkably straight and repeatable surface at negligible additional cost!

• Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) are conducted on all product lines

• Laser scanning allows for production of incredibly precise tolerances and straight linear motion products

Product Testing and Optimization room uses Optical Comparator, Laser Interferometer and Fast Fourier Transformation for quality control
