PBC Linear polymer bearings provide the latest advancements in plane polymer technology. These polymer plane bearings offer a wide spectrum of materials for the most varied applications. Resistant to corrosion and chemicals, polymer bearings can be implemented into a wide variety of different applications; including textile and knitting machinery, medical equipment, agricultural machinery, and electronics. Polymer bearings are also smart economically due to their low unit cost, fewer components, and virtually no maintenance cost. This self-lubricating technology also carries with it a long service life and broad temperature tolerance. These attributes make polymer bearings a smart and practical choice for a wealth of linear motion applications.

PBC Linear stocks two different linear plane bearing compound types. Compound type “E” is the default choice for most applications. Compound type “A” is the default choice for high temperature or high PV applications. Compound type “F” is stocked in limited quantities/sizes and is the default choice for food and drug (FDA/BGA) type applications. Four other compound types are available for special needs/unique applications. Consult a PBC Linear Application Engineer to discuss your application and decide which polymer bearing compound is best for your application.
Polymer plane bearings are also called plain bearings, depending upon a specific worldwide location.
