V-Guide Components

PBC Linear’s V-Guide components offer an excellent solution for linear applications ranging from very clean to the harshest environments. Considered an industry standard for linear motion, V-Guide components are an ideal versatile solution in a wide range of motion control applications.  They provide smooth and quiet travel at speeds up to 8 m/s with medium accuracy requirements.  Long lengths and the ability to easily end join further their appeal. Components made from hardened carbon steel or 400 series stainless steel offer even more flexibility for a wide range of applications, for example:

Available in four sizes and two materials for flexibility, the V-Guide wheels can be used with internal or external 90-degree ways, round shafts or even angle iron.

• Radial loads up to 9.9N (2246 lbs) per wheel
• Axial loads up to 2.3N (520 lbs) per wheel
• Permanently sealed and lubricated

PBC’s V-Guide rails have raceways that are hardened, ground, and polished for smooth travel, and available in four sizes corresponding with the wheels. The body of the rail is left unhardened for easier drilling (or tapping) of mounting holes and other assembly features

• Shoulder offers simple mounting and alignment
• Available in lengths up to 6m (19ft) and easily end joinable for longer stroke
• Offered in either 1045 carbon steel or 420 stainless steel material

PBC V-Guide wheel bushings offer a means to rigidly and precisely fasten the wheels to a mounting surface in a variety of ways that fit the specific application.
